Certain filtering configurations can inadvertantly block access to the MultiCom Firewall. First try simply turning off the filtering to see if you can reach the Firewall. If you have saved the the configuration to the CURRENT memory position simply reboot the Firewall to retrieve the last BOOT configuration. If you have saved to the BOOT configuration the only way to get access to the MultiCom Firewall is to either connect to it via a console cable (MultiCom SpeedSurf, Ethernet III, Ethernet Enterprise) or reboot the device into the factory default configuration.

If it works in the default configuration or with the filtering rules turned off then you very likely have a problem with the configuration of your filtering rules.

To load the Firewall's default configuration...
  1. power off the MultiCom Firewall
  2. while holding down the "config" button in the back of the Firewall, turn on the MultiCom Firewall
  3. continue holding the config button while the MultiCom Firewall finishes booting (when the LAN and/or WAN led remains a steady green or red and the rest of the leds have stopped blinking.)
To turn off the Filtering from the console command enter
Code:
set ip filtering enabled=false
saveconfig current
