The SecureWall is one of 2 firewalls protecting the network. When the SecureWall Firewall is enabled for an interface all data-packets going through that interface must traverse the NAT firewall (i.e. if there is a NAT rule specifically for that packet or they are a response to an outgoing connection they are allowed, otherwise the packet will not be allowed into the Firewall.)

When the Securewall Firewall is turned off the data can be routed through the Firewall with or without matching a NAT rule, assuming the routing table of the MultiCom Firewall knows where to send the packet. The second Firewall using Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) filtering rules can still be used to drop or report data-packets that you do not want to be allowed into the local network.
